Shell Silverstein

This is a poem that was suggested by one of my friends. She remarked:

I love this one. Makes you feel great, doesn't it! :-)

Colors

by Shell Silverstein

My skin is kind of sort of brownish
Pinkish yellowish white.
My eyes are greyish blueish green,
But I'm told they look orange in the night.
My hair is reddish blondish brown,
But it's silver when it's wet.
And all the colors I am inside
Have not been invented yet.

I love Shell Silverstein. I have most of his books. My all time favorite by him is "The Giving Tree" a book to surly make anyone cry. Read with tissues!!!

I too, have enjoyed the works of Shell Silverstein. However this was many years ago when I did not have the capacity to fully appreciate it. Tragically, I have since lost the books by him and am starved of his ludicrously tragic/humorous poetry.
